The fourth generation of the popular Mondeo model was equipped with the 2.3-liter Ford SEBA or 2.3 Duratec HE MI4 engine, which was only manufactured between 2007 and 2015. This power unit was essentially the same as the popular Mazda engine with the L3VE index.

Disadvantages of the SEBA engine
Oil scraper rings frequently result in lubricant consumption;
Regularly jamming dampers to alter the intake’s geometry come in second;
Here, the fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator malfunction due to poor gasoline;
The timing chain and phase regulator frequently need to be replaced on runs of 200–250 thousand kilometers;
