Disadvantages of the VW AQN engine
- You need to understand that this is a rare power engine and there are problems with its service;
- The engine is famous for its high fuel consumption, and for high mileage also lubrication;
- The timing chain does not have a very large resource, and its replacement is complicated and expensive;
- Very often there are oil leaks from under the valve cover, you have to change it;
- The reasons for floating engine speeds are air leaks or throttle contamination.
