Engine Ford EDDC

The 2.0-liter Ford EDDC or 2.0 Zetec E 16v engine, which was manufactured between 1998 and 2004, was fitted to all of the various car bodies of the original Focus model. On the Mondeo, a comparable power unit was installed under different indices, like NGB or NGC.

Disadvantages of the EDDC engine

This engine has high fuel quality requirements; if you fill the tank with subpar fuel, you may need to replace the fuel pump.
Additionally, candles burn out quickly, so always have a few on hand;
Aluminum engine sump deforms easily and hangs relatively low;
Keep an eye on the timing belt’s condition; occasionally it needs to be replaced after 60,000 kilometers.
