The popular Ecosport crossover in Europe and Australia was equipped with the 1.5-liter Ford UEJB engine, also known as the 1.5 Duratec Ti VCT, which was manufactured between 2013 and 2017. This engine was replaced with a three-cylinder unit of the same volume after the model was redesigned.

Disadvantages of the UEJB engine
The catalyst usually causes the most issues in engines of this type.
Since there are no hydraulic lifters here, the valves must be adjusted every 100,000 kilometers.
