Prior to restyling, the 1.6-liter Ford PNBA or Mondeo 1.6 Duratec Ti-VCT engine was only installed on the basic modifications of the second generation Mondeo model. It was assembled between 2007 and 2010. This power unit was superseded by its Euro 5 version with the KGBA index following the 2010 update.

Disadvantages of the PNBA engine
The resource is impacted by the Mondeo’s extremely weak motor, which is frequently overloaded;
Here, parts of the ignition system rapidly fail due to poor fuel;
The valves will bend if the timing belt breaks in the engine, so check its condition more frequently;
Here, the rear crankshaft oil seal and the valve cover are the sources of lubricant leakage.
Phase regulators, a gasoline pump, and nearly all attachments are additional weaknesses.
